Getting to the con

One airline, one airport, one road into town, and a warm welcome from several people who will be with you for the rest of your stay.
Before you go anywhere

There is nothing to travel to

This is a parody site and there is no convention. Please do not book flights, apply for visas or contact any tour company on the strength of anything written here.

In real life, many governments advise their citizens against all travel to North Korea, and some restrict it outright. Check your own government's travel advice.

Fly the national carrier

All attendees arrive on the national airline, a carrier famous for being the only airline in the world once given a one-star rating by a major reviewer. We regard the rating as a personal attack, and are proud to report the rating was subsequently appealed, in a newspaper we also own.

The in-flight meal is the legendary airline burger. Nobody knows what is in it. Everybody photographs it. It is, for many attendees, the first piece of convention merchandise they acquire.

Getting around

The metro

Pyongyang's metro is among the deepest in the world, with chandeliers, murals and trains that used to run on the Berlin U-Bahn. It also doubles as a shelter, so if you are running late for the Mass Games, at least you are safe.

Visitors have historically been shown only a few of the stations. We have been assured that the others exist and are also very beautiful.

Your welcome party

Meet your Con Buddy

Every attendee is paired with two friendly Con Buddies. They love fursuits, have read every panel description, and know all four approved songs by heart.

Your Con Buddies will be with you from the moment you land until the moment you leave. They will not leave your side for any reason, including the reasons you are currently thinking of. If you lose your Con Buddy, stay where you are. Your Con Buddy has not lost you.

Visas and entry

All attendees require a visa to enter. Applications take between six weeks and always. Please enclose two photographs of yourself and one of your fursona, facing forward, with a neutral expression and approved ears.

Phones, cameras, laptops and books will be inspected on arrival, and returned with a certificate confirming that they were always exactly as they are now.
